NIC Components is pleased to announce the addition of NFVC_S series of surface mount chip fuses, to its expanded offering of circuit protection products. NFVC series utilizes wire in air fuse construction, for superior inrush current characteristics (I2T) as compared to thick and thin film type SMT chip fuses. Supplied in 6125 (2410) case size, the NFVC_S series features wide operating range (-55C to +125C) with current ratings from 1A to 5A (derated over temperature) and interrupt voltage ratings of 125VAC (125V & 160VDC). NFVC_S series is UL safety agency (USA & Canada) listed under supplemental fuses.

The NFVC series is RoHS and PB-Free soldering compliant, supplied packaged on carrier tape for automated pick and placement PCB assemblies, followed by reflow or wave (flow) soldering process. Typical unit pricing, from $0.05 to $0.09 USD each, when purchased in production volumes.

Automotive Grade Thin Film Chip Resistors

 

 

NIC Components’ newly released NTRA series of automotive grade thin film chip resistors address precision resistor requirements of automotive applications. The NTRA series products are AEC Q-200 qualified and supported from TS-16494 certified component production site.  NTRA series features the stability over temperature, low noise and precise tolerances of thin film construction, in small low profile flat chip packages.

Component sizes include EIA 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 2010 and 2512 case sizes, with power ratings cover 0.063 watt ~ 0.50 watt. Optional higher power and voltage ratings are supported on 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210 and 2010 case sizes. Operating temperature range of -55°C to +155°C with power rating derated above +70°C. Voltage ratings cover 25V ~ 200V. Resistance values from 10 Ohm to 10 Meg-Ohm are available in E-24, E-96 and E192 resistance values. Resistance value tolerances cover precision tolerances of ±0.05%, ±0.1%, ±0.25%, ±0.5% and ±1% with ultra-stable temperature coefficient of resistance values of ±25ppm/°C & ±50ppm/°C.

Supplied on carrier tape for automated placement and compatible with Pb-free reflow soldering. Typical unit pricing ranges from $0.008 to $0.36 USD each, when purchased in production volumes.  Free samples are supplied for design and evaluation purposes.

NIC Components is pleased to announce the addition of higher power rated thick film chip resistors with NRCW series.  Increased power ratings, up to two time standard version ratings, are offered in 0603 (1/8W), 0805 (1/4W), 1206 (1/2W), 2010 (1W) and 2512 (2W) case sizes. NRCW series covers resistance value range of 1.0 Ω to 1 Meg-Ω in ±1% (F) and ±5% (J) tolerances, in E24 & E96 resistance values.

Stable TCR of 100PPM/°C, over an operating temperature range of -55°C ~ +155°C (with power derating above +70°C), and voltage ratings from 50V to 300V.

An upgrade from standard power rated version thick film chip resistors, the NRCW series is ideal for use in wide range of higher power applications, including fixed, portable, handheld and space-saving device applications.
