AECQ200 High Performance Shielded Power Inductors

NIC Components is pleased to announce the expansion of the surface mount power inductor family with the NPIS_LA series of automotive grade shielded power inductors.

Overview
NPIS_LA surpasses the standard NPIS_Lx with meeting the requirements of AECQ200 for automotive grade applications. Seven case sizes ranging from 3.0mm X 3.0mm to 8.0mm X 8.0mm (LxW) each with component heights from 1.0mm and 4.5mm. Inductance values range from 0.36uH ~ 470uH in ±20% (M) or ±30% (M) inductance tolerances.

Isat current ratings range from 1.8A to 16.5A with an operating temperature range of -40°C ~ +125°C.

The NPIS_LA Series meets PB-Free reflow conditions up to 260°C and is RoHS Compliant without exemptions, halogen free and REACH SVHC 169 compliant.

Background & Application Focus
Using an automatic assembly process makes ultra-small sizes possible while still allowing higher current ratings than conventional construction power inductors in the same size. Noise reduction is increased by use of its resin shielding material making these ideal choices for today’s efficient DC-DC converters.

The NPIS_LA series meets the requirements of AECQ200 and suggested for use in automotive grade applications or where higher quality components may be required. Used together with NIC's automotive grade capacitors and resistors in provide the essential performance parameters for high current DC/DC converters, in dash automotive applications, LED drivers and noise suppression applications from smaller to larger size factors.

NIC Components is pleased to announce the expansion of the metal composite high current shielded power inductor family with the new automotive grade NPIM_PA series.

Overview
Extending from NIC's NPIM_P series the NPIM_PA adds AECQ200 availability to its strong feature list including higher current ratings, lower DCR and 6 standard case sizes. Case sizes ranging from 3.5mm X 3.2mm to 13.5mm X 12.5mm (LxW) with component heights of 1.8mm to 6.2mm. Inductance values range from 0.1uH ~ 220uH in ±20% (M) inductance tolerance.

Isat current ratings range from 14A to 118A with an operating temperature range of -55°C ~ +125°C.

The NPIM_PA Series meets PB-Free reflow conditions up to 260°C and is RoHS Compliant without exemptions, halogen free and REACH SVHC 169 compliant.
