NIC Components is pleased to announce the expansion of the NPIM family of metal composite shielded power inductors with the NPIM_A automotive grade series.

AEC-Q200 Qualified NPIM_A expand from our standard NPIM_P, NPIM_C, and NPIM_B series with increased reliability testing to meet automotive requirements along with an operating temperature range up to 150°C. Case sizes range from 5.5mm X 5.0mm to 11.0mm X 10.0mm (LxW) with component heights of 3.0mm to 6.0mm. Inductance values range from 0.68uH ~ 47uH in ±20% (M) inductance tolerance.

An upgrade from standard ferrite based shielded power inductors molded metal composite construction [NPIM] provides high saturation current characteristics, increased frequency performance, and higher efficiency.

Isat current ratings range from 3.0A to 42A with an operating temperature range of -40°C ~ +150°C.

These power inductors are ideal for use in high current power supplies, display drivers, voltage regulator applications from portable, handheld, space-saving devices to large scale networking solutions.
