SMT Shielded Power Inductors feature high current ratings in 1.0mm ~ 4.5mm height

NIC Components is pleased to announce release of NPIS_L series of shielded surface mount power inductors. Available in 10 case sizes ranging from 3.0mm X 3.0mm to 8.0mm X 8.0mm (LxW) with component heights of 1.0mm to 4.5mm. Inductance values range from 0.8uH ~ 220uH in ±20% (M) and ±30% (Y) inductance tolerance. High current rating in small size is achieved by use of wire-wound construction and ferrite resin shielding material. IRMS current ratings range from 1.4A (3.0x3.0x1.0 size, LxWxH) to 7.80A (8.0x8.0x4.0 size, LxWxH) with operating temperature range of -25°C ~ +120°C (+80°C operation at rated IRMS current). DC Resistance ranges from 0.006 ohm (0.8uH) ~ 4.0 ohm (220uH). Ideal for use in step down voltage conversion and regulation applications for portable, handheld, space-saving and high density circuit designs. Samples of NPIS_L parts are available for immediate shipment in NIC “Quick Kit” program. [ FREE Quick Kit ] Sn-Ag-Cu terminals are compatible with Pb-free reflow soldering to +255°C (5 seconds maximum). Supplied tape and reeled packaged on 7” and 13” reels for automated pick and placement. Unit pricing from $0.11 ~ $0.21USD each, in production volumes. Lead times from 5 ~ 7 weeks.
