S
tacked Film Chips for High-Loss, Low-Stability MLCC Capacitors

www.Ecnmag.com

ec81pc707a-LNIC Components introduced two ranges of stacked film chip capacitors. The NSHC and NSPU series combine small component size with stability during voltage, stability over time, immunity from cracking, and low dielectric loss, making them suitable for high-loss and less-stable MLCC capacitors. Both ranges are RoHS compliant. The NSHC uses a stacked metallized polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) film construction that helps it achieve an operating temperature range of up to -55ºC to +125ºC with high soldering heat resistance. Available case sizes of 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 1913 and 2416 allow capacitance values from 100pF to 0.22µF with voltage ratings of 16VDC or 50VDC. The NSHC delivers features high capacitance value using stacked metallized acrylic resin film construction. Parts are available in 0805, 1206 and 1210 formats with capacitance values range from 0.068µF to 1.0µF with a 16VDC voltage rating. Its Operating temperature range is -40ºC to +85ºC. Both series are supplied in tape-and-reel packaging designed for reflow soldering processes. Typical unit prices are $0.09 ~$0.30.

Chip Resistors Made for Precision Applications

The NTR Series of high precision thin film construction chip resistors from NIC Components Corporation features ultra-stable 10 ppm to 50 ppm resistance value change over wide temperature and low noise figure. They are suited for telecommunications, automotive, medical, audio, and test instrumentation applications. The lead-free devices have a resistance value tolerance range of 0.1 percent to 0.5 percent and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. Construction is nickel chromium sputtered, thin film resistive element on alumina substrate. The wrap-around terminations with nickel barrier and tin finish are compatible with established tin-lead and emerging lead-free soldering processes. The NTR Series is available in case sizes from 0402 to 2512. Resistance values range from 1Ω to 1 MΩ, and working voltages from 25V to 150V. Parts are supplied on an 8 mm carrier tape for automatic pick and place assembly. Pricing is from $.01 to $0.08 each in production volumes. Delivery is from stock to eight weeks. Radial Leaded Ultra-Low ESR Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Designed for state-of-the-art (low voltage/high current) voltage conditioning and power management applications (power supplies, DC/DC converters, VRMs, etc.), NIC Component Corp.'s NRSK series of radial leaded (LD) aluminum electrolytic capacitors feature ultra-low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high ripple current ratings. NRSK series features low 100 KHz ESR (as low as 0.012O) with high ripple current ratings (up to 2.80 Arms; +105°C/100 KHz) in low cost radial leaded configuration. They are available in capacitance values from 470 µF to 3,300µF (±20 percent capacitance tolerance), voltage ratings from 6.3 V DC to 16 V DC, with case diameters of 8 mm and 10 mm. They are rated for operation at temperatures between -40°C and +105°C with load life endurance (+105°C) rating of 2,000 hours. These devices are supplied in bulk or tape-and-reel packaging for use with automated insertion equipment. Pricing is from $0.06 to $0.20 each in production quantities. Lead time is eight to 10 weeks.
